One of the cornerstones of ARC’s approach is the emphasis on meaningful participation of refugees in decision-making processes. Recognising that those directly affected by policies and programs are often best positioned to offer insights and solutions, ARC strives to amplify the voices of Afghanistan refugees.
Moreover, ARC recognises the importance of preserving the rich cultural heritage of Afghanistan migrants, even in the face of displacement. To this end, ARC organises a myriad of social and cultural events that celebrate Afghan traditions, fostering a sense of belonging and connection among refugees and the broader community. This willingness is furthered with our events and our participation and organisation of protests to claim and support the rights of our community.
In essence, the Afghan Refugee Committee (ARC) embodies the spirit of solidarity and empowerment, serving as a catalyst for positive change in the lives of Afghan refugees in Belgium. Through its unwavering commitment to social cohesion, meaningful participation, and cultural preservation, ARC paves the way for a brighter and more inclusive future, where every refugee is afforded the opportunity to thrive and contribute to their newfound home.
