The Ukrainian Voices Refugee Committee represents the collective voice of Ukrainian refugees in Belgium.

MISSION

The Ukrainian Voices Refugee Committee (UV RC) was established to provide essential support, advocacy, and resources to Ukrainian refugees seeking safety and rebuilding their lives in Belgium.

The Committee is dedicated to amplifying Ukrainian voices, preserving cultural heritage, and fostering a sense of unity within the diaspora.

UV RC’s mission is to help Ukrainian refugees overcome the challenges of resettlement, access necessary resources, and ensure their stories are heard and recognized.

.

Key Initiatives and Programs

Recognizing the trauma many refugees have endured, UV RC offers access to mental health resources and counseling services. Our programs focus on emotional well-being and resilience, helping individuals recover and thrive.

More than 600 Ukrainians currently live in shelters managed by the Ukrainian Voices team. We provide safe and comfortable living conditions for those in need of urgent assistance.

Our volunteers continuously offer social support and assistance to vulnerable groups, helping them navigate interactions with
government institutions and social services.

UV RC remains committed to building a safe, supportive and promising future for Ukrainian refugees in Belgium.

SOME OF OUR EVENTS

Recruitment Day – 12 November 2024

Recruitment day is an employment initiative created through a partnership between Burger King, Quick and UNHCR with the collaboration of be.brussels.

It is part of a broader effort to help refugees build new lives in Belgium by offering them a pathway into the workforce.

By partnering with large companies, we seek to provide refugees holding a basic level of language proficiency with job opportunities, which is key to their social and economic integration

The project focuses on creating stable, long-term employment opportunities for refugees, who often face challenges when entering the workforce, including limited access to job opportunities, language barriers, and a lack of local experience.

Ukraine independence day – 24 August 2024

The Ukrainian Voices Refugee Committee prepared a whole series of events to promote Ukrainian culture, history, and unity. The festivities spanned four days filled with communication, cultural events, and opportunities to reflect on the values of Ukraine.
